INFLUENCE OF VISION STIMULI UPON THE VARIATION OF ACOUSTIC EMISSION IN MOTH (AMPHIPYRA PERFLUA: NOCTUIDAE)

Visual stimuli which gave the imitation of approaching obstacle were presented to noctuid moth. Simultaneously the registration of acoustic and motor activity of insect was carried out. It was shown that visual stimulation causes the increase of click frequency. The optomotor response of moths to visual stimuli was very weak. The interaction of visual and echolocation systems in moth behavior is discussed.
