The moth tethered on a thin wire flies among six obstacles of two types: effective (W) and ineffective (V)    in reflecting ultrasound to the insect. A small green LED is attached on the wire 4 cm away from the insect. To record the movements of the moth the photographic camera is set above. All movements of the moth are recorded as light lines. The recording of probing ultrasonic signals of the moth is carried out with the aid of acoustic receiver that is set 1.5 m away from the moth.
