Mechanism of coupling of wings with the body:
а - location of active coupling areas on wings (Az, the border is marked with dotted line) and on scutum (Sz);
б - surface of Sz area;
в- surface of Az area, the edge of wing (vental view).
The wings of moth are moved apart so that the coupling areas on scutum are entirely visible.
