The example of response of the noctuid moth to the echo-like stimulation. Continuous oscillogram represent deviations of the moth in the horizontal plane. Superimposed vertical lines correspond to the moments of emission of ultrasonic signals by the moth. Abscissa represents time scale, "0" corresponds to the moment of the first acoustic contact of the insect with the stimulator. White bars above abscissa indicate the intervals of readiness of the apparatus to retransmission; vertical strokes above these bars represent the moments of acoustic stimulation (echo-signals).
